Spring is on it’s way – a great time to get out and give a presentation!

When was the last time you gave a presentation?

When was the last time you avoided giving a presentation?

If you avoided it, why? Why didn’t you take on the challenge of developing your skills, growing personally and professionally, or just sharing your knowledge and expertise?  WHY????   Don’t you know that when you refuse to present in public you are being selfish.  That’s right!  You are keeping information to yourself that could benefit others.

The problem with most people is that we do not think we have something to share.  We do not always feel that our audience will benefit from listening to us.  And we certainly do not want to risk making a fool out of ourselves.  Right?

When you present you are not doing it for yourself (even though you do benefit from it) you are doing it for your audience.  Whether it’s to teach them something new, get them to do business with you or to inspire and motivate them to take action, you will be benefiting your audience by presenting.   Give at least one presentation this month and when you do, remember you are doing it for your audience and they will be grateful.
